La Loma to Open Public Office

La Loma to Open Public Office

La Loma Development recently signed a long-term lease to open a public office, and create a sustainable design oasis in Northwest Pasadena located at 1355 Lincoln Ave. The lot has over 30,000 square feet of primarily indoor outdoor space and will eventually house artist workshop studios made out of converted shipping containers, exhibition space, as well as hold classes in natural building, low impact development, community earthworks, sustainable landscaping, urban agriculture and more. We are currently fundraising for major improvements, including installing a green roof, solar panels, rain barrels, removing asphalt, living walls, rain gardens and other design elements that will provide a sustainable demonstration site for an area of Pasadena that is largely lacking in sustainable landscaping resources. The grand opening is slated for summer of 2013.
