La Loma is seeking a Mission: Small Business grant. We need 250 votes to quality for a $250k grant to create an amazing multi-use space in Pasadena (1355 Lincoln Ave. 91103) for community events, including rainwater harvesting education, sustainable and alternative building materials and artist workshops.

We want to convert 30,000 square feet of a locally owned commercial auto mechanic shop at 1355 Lincoln Ave. Pasadena, CA 91103 into a revolutionary green and inspirational community space. A $250k grant would mean major facility improvements, including installing a green roof, solar panels, greywater, removing asphalt, bioremediation, installing living walls, rain gardens and converted shipping container studios, as well as other improvements that will provide a sustainable demonstration site for an area of Pasadena that is largely disenfranchised, and lacking in sustainable landscaping resources. $250k would be an infusion that would immediately provide benefits to the community through training and education.
