Arlington Gardens Parkway Volunteer Project
More than thirty eagle scouts and their fathers from Troop 21 came out to work with La Loma Development and Arlington Gardens to help create a new water catchment along the parkway. Originally the trees along the road were packed in flat dirt, and much of the water was running off into the street. The new parkway would help with retaining the water (especially important due to drought in Southern California), as well as improve the look of the community by creating a natural looking arroyo along the parks edge.
